Drama Daze III / Ontario IPSC Provincial Championships

Greetings,

There appears to be some confusion surrounding some of the new technologies in place for the Drama Daze III / IPSC Provincials match.  I hope that this document will clarify things and allow an easy and painless match registration.

This is a online service provided by a dedicated IPSC Ontario member to assist not only Match Directors but also competitors to sign up for matches.  Many of you are familiar with some of the basics of its operation in signing up for matches.  However for a match of this scope we are invoking one of its many features the "pre-pay" system.  If you are not registered with IPSC-matches.net it is an easy process and requires no explanation here.

There are many ways one can register for this match with and without this system.

Prepayment System:  This system allows competitors to sign up for the match once their registration fee has been submitted to the match.  When you look at the match schedule on www.ipsc-matches.net you will note a caption next to the match.  For example

Ontario Provincials/Drama Daze III

(your ID for pre-payment: '1234-567-8910'

The prepayment ID is an individual number for everyone registered in the system, and is different for every match that the system is used in.

Once payment is received the match director can "unlock" your account via your prepayment number and you can select your squad as per the usual methods.  You can also alter your squad as well as your division (within the limits of squad size).

The registration form is located and can be downloaded from the IPSC-Ont.org website.  It is located in the match schedule area next to the listing for the match.

It will also be added to the next Sitrep as has been past practice.

Once you have downloaded the form or taken one from the Sitrep you can mail it to the address listed on the form as has been done with previous matches.

You can also edit the form (it is a MS WORD) document to provide the pertinent data and email it to me at stormbringer@amtelecom.net

I require this form from all competitors so we can ensure a smooth registration process on match day.

Mail:  As in past matches you can feel free to send your payment via "snail mail" with your registration form.  When it is received your account at IPSC matches will be unlocked and you can select your squad assignment.

EMT:  EMT stands for Electronic or "email" money transfer.  If you do your banking online with a major Canadian bank you will likely have access to this system.  However, many/most credit unions do not offer this service.  If you cannot EMT you will have to resort to a cheque system.  We do not take debit or credit card payment.

When using EMT your system (generally found in the money transfer section of the banks online banking system) you will send the amount to my email stormbringer@amtelecom.net

You will be prompted to enter a password for me to access the funds.  Please use the match name Dramadaze for the password.  Most banks charge a fee of $1.50 for this service.  You can also send a "note" to the recipient which should include your prepayment code as outlined above.

When the funds have been transferred I will utilize the prepayment code to unlock your access as outlined above.
