EXEMPTIONS - REVISITED - AGAIN
As you all know, the end of the exemptions were to kick in on May 1st, 2009 We asked for an extension and got one. As of July 1st. 2009 we must all to conform to the January 2009 rule book, no exemptions. We understand that this will have a material impact on many of our members, and please be assured that our Regional Director did everything possible to preserve the exemptions on your behalf.
CHIEF RANGE OFFICER COURSE
How are potential Chief Range Officers Selected for a Course?
The selection process is simple. When a current Range Officer has accumulated a minimum of 28 match points that are already on record with IPSC Ontario and NROI Canada, the candidate is invited to attend a Chief Range Officer Seminar.
An email or letter is sent to all current Range Officers that meet this requirement.
In 2008 there were 34 potential candidates that met the requirements. We attempted to hold a course but had only three current Range Officers respond to the invitation.
For 2009 there are 56 potential candidates for Chief Range Officer, and an invitation has been sent to all those who are eligible.
