Three Generations
Kaytlie, age 15, who plays high school football, took her Black Badge course under the IPSC Ontario Futures Program with Master Instructor Pat Warner at the Grenville Fish and Game Club 1-2 October 2005.  Kaytlie was competing in her first match with fellow Black Badge students Katie Guse, Sig Moeller and his son Curt, and Henry O’Hare.

Father Brent is a recent convert to IPSC, having shot target pistol for years under the expert tutelage of his father Greg.  Grandfather Greg took his Black Badge with Pat Warner, the same instructor who taught his granddaughter Kaytlie five years later to the day.
Although it has not yet been officially confirmed as an IPSC “first”, the RA Centre is claiming a record three generations of the Harpur family competing together for the first time on Saturday 26 October, 2005.  Grandfather Greg, also an NROI Range Officer, competed in the Open Division, Super Senior Category, while son and father Brent competed in Standard Division. Granddaughter Kaytlie competed in the Junior Ladies Category, in Production Division.  The Harpurs are members of the Cornwall Handgun Club.
Three Generations Compete Together in IPSC
IPSC Ontario Administrator Bud Melless says while there are many family members who shoot IPSC, this is the first time three generations have shot together in Ontario.  RA Centre Match Director Jose Rodrigues remarked how nice it is to have families shooting together and pointed out the families competing today included father George and son Martin Theriault, husband Reg and wife Yvonne Gutz, husband Nick and wife Jenn Poll, father Fred and daughter Katie Guse, competing in her first match, and fellow first timers father Sig and son Curt Moeller.

The RA Centre was hosting their first Level I match of the 2005-2006 Winter series.
